Sasketchewan Provincial Nominee Program will accept only 250 applications under Skilled Worker stream.
Applicant Requirements
- Applicant must be living outside Canada or must have a proof of legal status in Canada.
- Applicant must score at least 60 points on a 100 point assessment grid.
- Applicant must possess at least a year of relevant work experience.
- Score a minimum of CLB 4 in all language abilities (speaking, reading, writing, listening).
- Provide proof for one of the following:
- A permanent, full-time job offer in a skilled occupation from an approved Saskatchewan employer; or
- Proof that they meet the following requirements:
- Field of education is in a skilled occupation
- Completed post-secondary education of at least one year
- If occupation is regulated, proof of appropriate Saskatchewan qualification
- Proof of settlement funds and a settlement plan
Federal Skilled Worker
Federal Skilled Worker applications are assessed based on an applicant's ability to become economically established upon immigration to Canada. From January 1, 2015 onwards, these applications are being processed through the Express Entry selection system for immigration to Canada. Thus, all candidates eligible under this category must first make an online Express Entry profile.
The following are the requirements to be eligible to apply:
Education Requirements
The applicant must have completed a PhD in Canada from a recognized institution or have completed two years of study in Canada towards a PhD at a recognized institution.
Applicant Requirements
- The applicant must have at least one year of continuous full-time or equivalent paid work experience in the past 10 years in a skilled occupation (National Occupational Classification skill lever 0, A or B); or
- The applicant must qualify for Arranged Employment with a Labour Market Impact Assessment and a full-time, permanent job offer from a Canadian employer.
- Applicant must show the presence of the required settlement funds to be able to live in Sasketchewan.
- The applicant along with his/her dependents must undergo medical examinations and security clearances.
Language Requirements
The applicant must pass a minimum threshold of language ability for one of Canada's two official languages namely, English and French.

To qualify, the applicants must obtain at least 67 points based on Citizenship and Immigration Canada’s (CIC) immigration selection factors such as:
- Education: 25 points.
- Language Skills: 28 total points out of which 24 are for the first official language and 4 for the second official language.
- Work Experience: 15 points for paid skilled work experience acquired in the last 10 years. A minimum of 9 points is required.
- Age: 12 points.
- Arranged Employment: 10 points.
- Adaptability: 10 points.
