Unlike other provinces of Canada, Quebec requires you to apply to the Quebec government a Certificat de sélection du Québec (CSQ) as well as to the CIC for becoming a permanent resident of Canada. After getting a CSQ, the following things have to be taken into consideration to check your eligibility:
- Education: At least a post secondary education spanning over two years.
- Age: Between 17 and 43 years.
- Language: Preference is given to candidates knowing French but English language to also considered.
- Employment: The candidate must be offered a genuine job by a Quebec employer. Preference will be given to job-holders in the metropolitan area of Montreal.
- Experience: More than 6 months
- Training and Occupation: Any one from Sections A through E listed by the Government of Quebec.
