Job Requirements
- Job must be a long-term, full-time job acquired after working continuously for at least 6 months as a temporary foreign worker or international student working graduate for the same employer.
- Skilled Workers in Manitoba are not subject to a points-based assessment.
- Periods of self-employment, unauthorized work or employment during a full-time study will not be included in considering your work experience.
- Self-employed individuals, business owners, owner-operators and individuals providing services as independent contractors to the business supporting their application are NOT eligible to apply as Skilled Workers in Manitoba and any work experience in Manitoba gained in those capacities will not be considered when calculating the qualifying period of work in the province.
Employer Requirements
- You employer must be registered under an act of the legislature of Canada and must be operating an established business in Canada.
- Employer must show the capability of providing you with a long-term, full-time job in Manitoba.
- In order to acquire a work permit by the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program, employee-employer relationship must be demonstrated.
