Draw #110: The largest number of ITA for January in the Express Entry system’s five-year history
The Government of Canada beats a new record mark in its recent draw held on January 30th. It looks like 2019 will be the Year of Immigration in Canada. Altogether 3,350 Express Entry candidates were invited to apply for Canadian permanent residence, what makes this January biggest start to a year in the Express Entry system’s five-year history. The number of invitations issued this month increases to 11,150, a new record mark. Despite that, the minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score in this round of invitation is 438. It is the lowest minimum score for an all-program draw through Canada’s Express Entry system since October 4, 2017.
All candidates who submitted their profile before the tie-break April 26, 2018 at 05:00:46 UTC, with CRS score above 438 received and ITA in this invitation round. The Express Entry Annual Target for this year is 81,400 invitations. So far, 11,500 ITAs were issued by IRCC.
Keep in mind that there are several ways for candidates to improve their scores: one of them is including a provincial nomination that results in 600 additional CRS points. By the way, linking Express Entry and Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs) have been extremely active and innovative in 2018.
