Draw #102: The minimum CRS score goes down
In its new draw, held on October 15, 2018, the Government of Canada keeps its high number of invitations to apply. With the minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 440 – five point lower than the last draw – 3,900 Express Entry candidates were invited to apply for Canadian Permanent Residence.
All candidates who submitted their profile before the tie-break September 18, 2018 at 11:06:29 UTC, with CRS score above 440 received and ITA in this invitation round.
The Express Entry Annual Target for this year is 74,900 invitations. So far, 70,300 ITAs were issued by IRCC. If the Government keeps its high number of invitations, the Annual Target will be overcome in the next two rounds of invitations.
There are several ways for candidates to improve their scores: one of them is including a provincial nomination that results in 600 additional CRS points. By the way, linking Express Entry and Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs) have been extremely active and innovative in 2018.
