Quebec immigration

Quebec is a province situated in east-central Canada and the only Canadian province to have French as its sole provincial official language. Quebec is Canada’s largest province and second-most populous province after Ontario. Quebec, also known as the most beautiful city of Canada, welcomes 45,000 immigrants each year.

Unlike other provinces of Canada, Quebec requires you to apply to the Quebec government a Certificat de sélection du Québec (CSQ) as well as to the CIC for becoming a permanent resident of Canada. After getting a CSQ, the following things have to be taken into consideration to check your eligibility:

  • Education: At least a post secondary education spanning over two years.
  • Age: Between 17 and 43 years.
  • Language: Preference is given to candidates knowing French but English language to also considered.
  • Employment: The candidate must be offered a genuine job by a Quebec employer. Preference will be given to job-holders in the metropolitan area of Montreal.
  • Experience: More than 6 months
  • Training and Occupation: Any one from Sections A through E listed by the Government of Quebec.
